Atlanta – April 22, 2010 – Chartwell announced today the release of a new blog, Chartwell’s Industry Update, which will give readers a new perspective on customer-facing issues and trends in the utility industry.

Chartwell’s Industry Update will be updated weekly by Chartwell analysts, who will add their commentary and analysis on developments in areas such as smart grid/smart metering, customer service technologies, management practices, and energy efficiency and other customer programs and services.

“This new blog is an extension of our former Industry Update newsletter, which, available only to subscribing members, evolved into more focused, monthly research reports,” said Dennis Smith, Chartwell vice president of research and information delivery and one of the firm’s new bloggers. “The blog will allow us to keep our membership and other interested readers in the know on issues important to our areas of focus, namely customer service and related operations.

“It’s also part of our new social media strategy, aimed at emphasizing our firm’s primary research and expertise,” Smith added. “We hope to not only inform and educate, but to encourage interactive discussions that revolve around our readers’ specific knowledge and impressions of the topics at hand.”
