ATLANTA – Attendees of the 10th Annual EMACS, Energy Marketing and Customer Service Conference & Expo, will hear about Southern California Edison’s industry leading customer experience initiative and learn what customers expect from utilities concerning energy efficiency, pricing and communication during the EMACS 2007 keynote address on Oct. 15 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine in Irvine, Calif.
Celebrating a decade of excellence in content presentation and networking facilitation, the EMACS Conference returns to sunny Southern California with featured keynote presentations from Seth Kiner, director of host utility Southern California Edison’s customer experience program, and Suzanne Crofts Shelton, a national expert in consumer attitudes whose firm Shelton Group conducts exclusive research into customer opinions relative to energy usage, conservation and their utilities.
EMACS 2007, to be held Oct 15-17 in Irvine, Calif., is the leading networking forum for utility professionals seeking to gain a better understanding of customer operations and strategies, as well as to meet peers with similar challenges and benchmark their own customer service and marketing programs against industry best practices.
“We are fortunate to have these featured speakers share their insights and knowledge,” said Dennis Smith, vice president of research and information delivery for Chartwell Inc., the organizer of EMACS 2007. “SCE is a pioneer in its efforts to align the experience its customers have in interacting with their utility with its overall business objectives. And Suzanne’s insight into customer perceptions should give attendees plenty of takeaways they can use in crafting future service and marketing strategies.”
In addition, EMACS 2007 will feature a number of other presentations and workshops around its theme, “See the Big Picture: Your Customers. Your Community. Your Environment.” EMACS 2007 also will feature a track devoted to customer service and marketing programs aimed at commercial and industrial utility customers.
