Chartwell Best Practice Award to recognize excellence in marketing energy efficiency
ATLANTA – Utilities finally will be recognized for their efforts in marketing and communicating energy efficiency. The Chartwell Best Practices Award for Marketing Energy Efficiency will honor results-oriented marketing or communications campaigns aimed at improving awareness of energy efficiency in general or promoting specific programs, products or services aimed at improving energy efficiency among any customer group.
Effective utility-based energy efficiency programs are crucial in today’s world where everyone from politicians to environmental groups and, especially, their own customers weigh in on utilities’ efforts to help energy users conserve natural resources, reduce their carbon footprint and lower their bills. Progressive utilities are leveraging those programs to improve their images and increase customer satisfaction while communicating about energy, load management, resource planning and environmental issues.
Recognizing excellence among electric and/or gas utilities in energy efficiency marketing, the new Chartwell Best Practices Award is open to entrants from any size electric, gas or combination investor-owned, government-owned or cooperative utility in North America. Vendors and consultants aiding utilities in energy efficiency endeavors may also enter specific utility programs with permission from the utility involved. The award winner will be announced at The Chartwell Best Practices Summit on Marketing Energy Efficiency Programs, March 13-14 in Atlanta, Ga., and will be recognized in a feature article in Chartwell’s Best Practices for Utilities & Energy Companies newsletter.
Award entries are due February 28. For entry requirements, an entry form or to enter online, visit www.chartwellinc.com/MEEPAward.cfm. For information on The Chartwell Best Practices Summit on Marketing Energy Efficiency Programs, visit www.chartwellinc.com/MEEP.cfm.
