As energy efficiency continues to be a front-line issue for utilities, more are looking to work together to reach common goals. Chartwell’s Webinar on Multi-Utility Efficiency Promotions will highlight the key lessons learned by utilities that joined forces with each other and other interested agencies to promote energy efficiency campaigns and programs to their customer bases. This could include electric and gas utilities with overlapping territories, dual-fuel utilities and neighboring utilities with common needs. Utilities looking to partner with their peers or those that have already done so will learn from these participating utilities and their experience in working together to educate consumers and move them toward being more efficient with their energy usage.

Presenters
Shar Kegley, Community Education & Outreach Market Manager, Puget Sound Energy
Shar is an experienced market manager with a 25-year background of successfully leading energy efficiency and conservation programs for Puget Sound Energy. Her work has included managing water heater programs, low-flow showerhead and aerator distribution, the energy advisor hotline, refrigerator decommissioning, low-income weatherization initiatives, information services and energy education. She has a strong track record for launching pilot programs and building regional partnerships with area utilities. Under her current leadership, PSE's energy education group has received the EPA's Clean Air Excellence Award for two years running.
Ed Hamzawi, Implementation Supervisor, Energy Efficiency and Loan Programs, Sacramento Municipal Utility District
Ed has twenty five years of experience in the areas of energy efficiency program implementation, planning, evaluation, resource planning, energy forecasting, and market assessment spanning both public and private sectors. In his current role, he oversees a portfolio of more than a dozen energy efficiency programs focused primarily on existing residential, commercial, and industrial customers and market segments. These programs encompass a wide variety of strategies including customer, contractor, manufacturer, dealer, and retailer rebates and incentives; financing; customer education and consultation; and other tactics to promote the installation of high efficiency equipment, in residential dwellings and commercial/industrial businesses.
Glen DiFalco, Product Manager, Energy Efficiency, Mass Markets, Kansas City Power & Light
Glenn’s current responsibilities include management of KCP&L’s Energy Efficiency programs including Home performance with ENRGY STAR and Energy Star New Homes. As a product manager for mass markets, Glenn is responsible for the research, recommendations, planning, budgeting and implementation of existing and future products.
Jason Fulp, External Communications & Marketing Representative, Missouri Gas Energy
In his current position for MGE, he focuses on collaborative strategies and opportunities for the company to interface with its customers and its operating communities in areas such as: media relations, website communications, community affairs, marketing and program management. In addition, Jason serves as the company’s spokesperson and its representative on issues regarding energy efficiency, energy education and weatherization. Prior to beginning his career with Missouri Gas Energy, Jason has held various communications positions for companies such as H&R Block and Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative in Kearney, Missouri.
