Smart Grid Series Overview
Previously the Metering Series Chartwell’s Smart Grid Research Series provides strategic business intelligence that helps utility professionals stay informed and make decisions related to smart grid technologies, applications and benefits. This includes smart meters, AMI, demand response, home area networks, advanced networks and analytical data management. Methodology
Chartwell’s researchers conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative research including interviews with hundreds of energy professionals and constituents. Outputs include case studies, research reports, periodicals, vendor profiles and monthly industry updates that keep series members up-to-date on smart grid related activities including deployment, pilots, utilities, vendors and technologies. Our large-scale annual data collection process includes interviewing more than 100 utility professionals and constituents to create a State-of-the-Industry Smart Meter Data Report. It includes an industry overview, survey data analysis and utility company data. Intense analysis of survey data reveals trends on hot topics such as smart meter business case development, meter and energy data management, home area network, prepay energy technologies, LANs and WANs and more.
