Segmentation and other strategies for advancing the customer experience to be featured at Chartwell Summit
ATLANTA – Jan. 19, 2012 – While market research functions such as segmentation can advance understanding of utilities’ unique service territories, drilling down into customers’ wants and needs using behavioral modeling and other related methods can help improve the customer experience. Case studies on these and other current, customer-focused research initiatives will be offered during Chartwell’s fourth Utility Market Research Summit, to be held in Atlanta, Feb. 23-24.
Market research can be used to fuel a variety of utility efforts ranging from increasing adoption of programs and services to improving customer satisfaction. In addition, many utilities are preparing for the coming wave of smart meter data, and are looking to apply this wealth of information to customer and market research.
“In today’s rapidly evolving industry landscape, understanding customers’ wants, needs and behaviors is becoming increasingly critical,” says Chartwell Senior Research Analyst Stacey Bailey. “This Summit will facilitate focused conversations designed to allow utility professionals to leave with progressive ideas for understanding their customer segments.”
The completed agenda includes presentations to be delivered by Colorado Springs Utilities, Georgia Power, NB Power, Northeast Utilities and many others. The Utility Market Research Summit is sponsored by Bellomy Research and Twenty First Century Communications. Other sponsorship opportunities for industry vendors and services providers are available for this event.
Chartwell’s Summits provide a productive educational forum for utility professionals to share ideas and learn from industry leaders. The format includes teaching presentations, interactive discussions and relevant networking opportunities.
