Chartwell announces solicitations for 7th annual Best Practices Awards

ATLANTA – May 12, 2010 – Chartwell Inc., the leading customer-focused research and information firm for utilities, has begun accepting solicitations for its 2010 Chartwell’s Best Practices in Marketing and Customer Service Awards.

Launched seven years ago and the original utility awards of their kind, Chartwell’s Best Practices Awards recognize excellence among electric and/or gas utilities with respect to projects, programs and/or service initiatives.
Awards will be bestowed in two categories – customer service and marketing – and will honor two utilities' initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience, communications and/or awareness. Award winners and other top entries will be recognized during EMACS 2010, The Customer Experience Conference, held Oct. 25-27 in San Diego, CA.
“Since 2004, these awards have recognized the best of the best in customer service and marketing,” Jennifer Allen, Sr. Research Analyst for Chartwell, said. “The list of past winners as well as other utilities recognized as top finalists includes the elite when one thinks of customer-focused utilities. Every year, it gets more difficult to choose the winners. We look forward to considering more great programs this year.”
Past Chartwell award winners include Arizona Public Service, Duke Energy, Otter Tail Power, Progress Energy, Sacramento Municipal Utilities District, Salt River Project and We Energies, among others.
The deadline for entries is July 16. There is no fee to enter.
