Chartwell Summit to highlight next generation of customer-facing smart grid adoption
ATLANTA – Jan. 26, 2012 – As more smart meters are introduced across North America, an increasing number of utilities are rolling out services and offerings derived from meter data. Chartwell’s Smart Grid Customer Interaction Summit, to be held in Atlanta, April 19-20, will look beyond smart grid education to the emerging phase of customer program adoption.
More regularly, innovative energy communication channels and technologies such as gamification are becoming available to the industry, offering the opportunity for utilities to interact with customers on an enhanced level. This Summit will offer successful strategies for connecting customers with smart grid-enabled programs designed to increase awareness of energy usage patterns and behaviors.
“Utilities are seeking opportunities to maximizing customer-side smart grid adoption post-deployment,” says Chartwell Research Analyst Russ Henderson. “This Summit will offer insights and results to-date from utilities that are gaining a better understanding of customer segments and behaviors to increase interaction and engagement.”
Chartwell’s Summits are a productive educational forum for utility professionals to share ideas and learn from industry leaders. The format includes teaching presentations, interactive discussions and relevant networking opportunities. Sponsorship opportunities for industry vendors and services providers are available for this event.
